When I first got the call from Heather, I could tell she was exhausted. Her wedding was in a few days and even with all the last-minute details, her friend that was photographing her wedding had an accident.
I felt all her pain! Once we started talking about the details of her wedding, I could tell she was most definitely super cool and laid back. I knew this was going to be an easy-going, gorgeous wedding, especially when she told me that she was getting married at the Milestone in Boerne, Texas!
So, I’m attempting to keep my excitement to a minimum over the phone (which is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do) so I wouldn’t completely make her think that her photographer was all the way insane!
The Milestone in Boerne had me right in my element with the gorgeous background of green trees and that Rustic Elegant feel is amazing! With that cute bridge the Milestone has that lead to the outdoor wedding, I was in photographer heaven, but like I said, I didn’t want her to know I was hollering with joy in my head!
When we met up at the “coffee shop”, and Heather cracked up laughing at me with the facial expression I had, (you’d have to ask her, I’m ashamed. It seemed like a good idea with the name.) that made me know she was that type of person who goes with the flow even when her photographer tries to pretend like I totally knew where we were! LOL
Yes, she laughed at my contract. Hey, I’ve been through some things! I believe it was the clause that stated that “we attempt to avoid anything that may cause immediate death” that got her the best!
When the wedding day arrived, (and we got there a good hour and a half early) already had everything ready to go! All the tables were spectacularly set up with décor from Got it Covered Events, the DJ and photobooth with Vega’s Event Group, were just about finished, and the Caterers with Got It Covered events were already preparing! Can you say we were amazed? Bartenders4You were ready to go shortly after and when Linda Cupp with CuppCakes by Linda Cup showed up and put those gorgeous real flowers on that wedding cake, I just stared in awe! The coordinator, Jessica Salaiz from Vega’s Event Group, had it together and ready to go!
Heather and her girls were getting ready and the makeup artists had those looks of determination with that makeup! They were making sure their work was flawless and I was all about that! Honestly, they were the sweetest people I’ve had the opportunity to work with.
Even though Heather really didn’t need makeup, that makeup artist did her thing and my hands were itching for the camera. Her bridesmaids were flawless and oozed elegance. This was going to be an incredible day.
The guys were hanging out with the other photographer and we all know guys get ready a little quicker, so as I walked out to get a few detail shots until Heather was ready, the guys were already posed and starting on their individual photos. Jacob was just as laid back as Heather and his groomsmen were, well, let's just say they are the life of the party!
Jessica was right there once again making sure all the ties were straightened and the boutonnieres were perfect. I love her!
As the ceremony started, the walk over the bride made the most breathtaking photos, but the most amazing photo was the way Jacob looked at Heather as she walked towards him. The look of pure love, that everlasting “you’re mine forever” type love was written all over his face.
Now, I’m trying not to get emotional and get a tear in my viewfinder, so I’m just gonna pretend at this moment that something’s in my eye and wipe it out really quickly. I think I got away with it.
When Heather’s dad handed her to Jacob, he looked at Heather like she was his future. I had no choice but to catch that in a photo.
The Reception can only be summed up in a few sentences:
Heather and Jacob’s family have unconditional love for both of them.
Heather and Jacob’s friends adore them.
Jacob has some serious “Dance Moves” during the garter toss.
Grandma can out dance all of the groomsmen. Yes, she did that!
All in all, we have to thank Jacob and Heather for having us at their wedding and allowing us to catch two people who really, really, really love each other!
